Story Hour: What moments of failure have you had?

SuperPowers_Banner.png

Story Hour is a casual environment in which to practice influential storytelling.

Today's story prompt: What moments of failure have you had?

Before the event, we encourage you to take 5-10 minutes reflecting on that question to identify a story share.

We chose this prompt because failure stories are some of the most powerful stories a leader can share. Failure stories, by nature of their content, encourage you to be vulnerable. This helps you authentically connect with your audience. People are more likely to root for an “underdog,” and dismiss the person that only highlights their successes. You will likely have the opportunity to share failure stories at a job interview, when talking about lessons learned with collaborators, or when sharing your professional journey with a mentee.

If you have a story, we encourage you to volunteer to share it during Story Hour. We also welcome your participation as a listener and as part of our feedback group.

If you have any questions, please reach out to info at wolfandheron.com.
