Story Hour is a casual environment in which to practice influential storytelling. 

Today's story prompt: When have you challenged a norm? Before the event, we encourage you to take 5-10 minutes reflecting on that question to identify a story share.

We chose this prompt because representing the minority opinion or going up against the status quo often requires creativity, strategic thinking, interpersonal skills and a willingness to upset some people. If you are able to share stories of going against the grain, whether their wins or losses—you’ll be able to highlight your leadership while simultaneously illustrating your humanity. This helps you authentically connect with your audience. You will likely have the opportunity to share this kind of story when connecting with a colleague or when trying to inspire others to challenge a new norm.
